Holding Time Still

Time stops for no one…so it’s said,

But You stop for me, as I bow my head.

Each time I ask for you to stay,

You pull up a chair like you have all day.

And if in silence only tears are shed,

You collect each one, knowing what’s been said.

As Your arms pull me close to Your chest,

my soul settles, finding rest.

And You hold time still...

Just for me.
